-Bluejay-

Mo's mask, from Inkspell.

This one's been sitting around for forever. It was hard to find bluejay's wings, and I ended up just cutting the wings off an alive bird. Smugged by hand.

Without the canvas tex.

.This Week The Trend.

I thought I had it all figured out
Way back then
But now it's this minute
This hour, this day.
-This Week the Trend, Relient K.

Wow. This came about quite unexpectedly. I was looking at Kyra's DA favorites, and saw After Work. For some reason it sparked my inspiration, and this came out of it.

This is my depiction of Ian Braddock, a character that belongs to my friend Jolene. The piece really put itself together. I started with the idea of doing something with the base picture (man walking into light), and then the layers added themselves. I happened to be listening to Relient K., and this song struck me as like Ian, so I put the lyrics in.

Enjoy muchly, and comment if you are so inclined!

The Eyes of a Young Man

Guess who? That's right! Phil! Again. Can you tell I have a attachment to him?

You should know all the background for this from my Phil rambles. I changed the eye color, darkened eyelashes and eyebrow, added layers, got rid of the reflectioin of a light in his eye, lots of minor things. So enjoy. It doesn't really have to be Phil if you don't want it to be, by the way. You can pretend he's Tom Welling if you'd like.

As a side-note, wouldn't this be a cool bookcover? Heh.

Captain Jack Sparrow Says "Welcome Home"

My pirate name is:

Black Mary Bonney

Like anyone confronted with the harshness of robbery on the high seas, you can be pessimistic at times. You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr!

Get your own pirate name from fidius.org.

I did this quiz as Laura (answering what I thought she would) and got this result. :) I then made the Jack Sparrow greeting for her. She's coming home from surgery today and will have an eye-patch. (thus how Jack got his black patch in the picture). Enjoy!

Pretty Fair Maid

I did my first photo shoot in two months! And I used normal clothes. What a concept.

Sadly, the lighting was not as good as I thought it was while taking the pictures, so I had to use the paint effect to make up. I liked this warm color for some reason.

And I expect at least two comments because this was unbelievably hard to make due to GIMP evilness and the border screwing up several times. Thank you.

3 Textures/Blog Backgrounds

I think from now forward I'll post these on Scholar's Icon, Etc., but I thought I'd give you a sampling.

You can see what 1st and 3rd look like as backgrounds for blogs here and here. The words in 3rd are just rubbish, random things pulled out of several short stories by Abigail and me.

Note if used.

Grey-Eyed Beauty

I'm mostly posting this because it was very, very hard to do. I made it for Abigail on request (she thought Emmy Rossum looked like a character) and shed much blood and tears over the hair. Changing dark brown hair to blond-ish hair is not fun, in case you haven't experienced it yourself. I'm still not sure if I like the result, but oh well. Enjoy.

Tlas Island - Features

Had to tweak this one too. Enjoy. No cities or towns are named. I might add that in later.

Tlas Island - Graphic Relief Map

My Geography project this semester is to make up an island and draw several different maps for it. I chose to do Tlas Island, which is the island Isrian is on. This is the graphic relief version of the map. Sorry if it looks weird; the scanner completely washed out all the color so I had to tweak it. If I'm motivated I might make a digital version of this someday... :)

Special Thanks:
My Geography book. *hugs and kisses* (um, just kidding. My Geography teacher drives me insane (ask about the Bluegrass incident if you want to know details (and no, she's not my mom))).
